Joelle is co-founder of Tribute, a cross-disciplinary platform that celebrates sustainable and ethical design. Tribute sells fashion and homeware brands with transparent sourcing and manufacturing. They also organize cultural activities related to our collection and curate fashion exhibitions. Joelle is a trilingual fashion researcher, writer and ethical stylist. She believes fashion can serve as a tool to drive change, disrupt the status-quo, and make a more sustainable way of living. She holds a MA in Fashion Studies from Parsons with a deep and varied knowledge of fashion history and theory. Her research interests include sustainability, Non-Western fashion and textiles, fashion photography and experimental design. Joelle is a Tedx speaker and critic, her work has been presented in Hanoi, D.C., NYC, Austin and Beirut, and featured in publications such as the Business of Fashion, the Huffington Post, the New York Times, Marie Claire Arabia, Elle Vietnam, and Noun Magazine. Joelle was born in Cote d’Ivoire and lived and worked between Abidjan, Beirut, London, Paris, Hanoi and NY.
