Danya Sherman, Founder and CEO of KnoNap, is an entrepreneur passionate about combining technology innovation and human rights to create lasting, sustainable, social change. With KnoNap, she participated as a Target Incubator Fellow, Halcyon Fellow, Future Founders Fellow, and Kairos Fellow. KnoNap, LLC was founded in 2017 as a means to empower, educate, and advocate against drug facilitated sexual assault and crime. KnoNap creates discreet, gender-inclusive, portable detection devices for date-rape drugs that could be seamlessly incorporated into any social setting. KnoNap, the napkin that knows, is a cocktail napkin that is capable upon saturation of indicating drug presence. KnoNap was selected by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce for's 1st place on the 2019's i-List Awards, which recognizes the most innovative companies that have demonstrated measurable impact in the Greater Washington region. At Georgetown University, Sherman is pursuing a Master's in Business Administration, focusing on social entrepreneurship and creative venture funding platforms.
