Daniel Wright

Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer
As a child, Danny dreamed of one day running his own company and positively changing the world through this entity. Fortunately, during Danny’s senior year of college he was summoned into a brotherhood and lifelong bond. Darius and Troye emphatically pulled Danny into a friendship he could not get away from. As the brotherhood strengthened, Danny, Darius, and Troye began to brainstorm ways to change the world.
Upon graduating from Georgetown University, Danny began fulfilling his dream by co-founding GOOD; a conglomerate of social impact organizations addressing the most challenging issues affecting low-income communities in the United States.
The crux of his passion, Danny has used his upbringing as fuel to give back, pay it forward, and create a better quality of life for people coming from marginalized backgrounds. As the product of two 15-year-old parents, Danny and his parents are anomalies to the rule. The rule of life that says teenagers living in poverty can’t enhance their lives, excel, and raise a successful child. The rules say it can’t happen, but they did! Through the birth of GOOD, Danny has begun to change the lives of families that were once in his position.
At GOOD, Danny specializes in business strategy, designing and executing solutions that drive social change for those most in need. Through Danny’s leadership, GOOD’s nonprofit has raised more than $4.5 million in revenues in just 3 years, while impacting the lives of over 1000 individuals in Washington DC. As a pioneer in the social impact space, Danny along with his two co-founders are developing a model to alleviate poverty on a neighborhood by neighborhood basis.
Danny has been featured on CBS, NBC, Fox News and Comcast Newsmakers as a young entrepreneur, innovating the social entrepreneurship landscape and inspiring the next generation of leaders. He has received recognition on DC Inno’s 25 under 25 list and is the recipient of City Year’s Idealist of the Year award. Danny sits on multiple nonprofit boards and serves as a grant reviewer for District of Columbia Government. Most recently, Danny has become an Entrepreneur in Residence for Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business Entrepreneurship Initiative.
